Chainmail gave protection against the enemy's cutting weapons when worn during times of war. Chainmail has its beginnings during the Dark ages and was use for the military until the Renaissance. Each item faithfully reproduces the styles common to the Knights of the 15th and 16th centuries. The shirt features 3/4 length sleeves and will fit up to about a 46" chest.
These replicas are made of the same heavy steel as the originals and are fully functional pieces that are wearable!
