The sand timer is finished with a lovely antique look. The hourglass timer is displayed in a beautiful, brushed steel stand. The stand is approximately 8.5" high and 5" wide. The sand timer runs for about 30 minutes.
Historically, methods of measuring time at sea were very limited. Hourglasses are believed to have been employed for this purpose as early as the 11th century.
