The Armor Neck Guard protected a Medieval warrior from deadly damage to his throat. The guard was made to deflect blows to the neck while in battles. As time passed, this piece of armor was seen mostly as a traditional article of military attire, no longer utilized in battle.
This Neck Guard is made of steel and has some brass detailing. The front and back piece are connected with one stud found on either shoulder. It has an overall width of about 15.5", and a height of approximately 5". This piece will look great as part of a Medieval costume or as a display item.
