Chainmail has its beginnings during the Dark ages and was use for the military until the Renaissance. Chainmail gave protection against the enemy's cutting weapons when worn during times of war. These replicas are made of the same heavy steel as the originals and are fully functional pieces that are wearable!
Each item faithfully reproduces the styles common to the Knights of the 15th and 16th centuries. Approximate Measurements: 52" across chest, and about 32" from top of shoulder to thigh. The chain mail rings are 1/2" in diameter and butted and the steel is 18 gauge.
