Breastplate armor was an extremely vital part of every soldier's uniform. The breastplate, along with the rest of his armor, protected a warrior from injury during battle. This marvelous leather Roman breastplate, or cuirass, would be a fantastic addition to any Medieval collection. Handcrafted from durable leather, it is accented with brass decals including a Medusa-like head, Serpents and lions' heads. The strong, flexible leather holds its shape against your body.
This leather chest plate stands approximately 24" high and is 16" wide. From the top of the breastplate to the bottom of the longest tassel is approximately 34". The front and back pieces connect via 3 adjustable leather straps on either side of the breastplate as well as 2 adjustable leather straps on each of the shoulders.
