$27.95

This menorah has 5" (approximately) diameter base, is about 11. 5" tall, and about 9" wide. this simply wrought menorah is a magnificent piece whether used just during Hanukkah or displayed year round so it's elegance can be appreciated.

Used in the Temple in ancient days the standard menorah is a seven branched candelabrum. The Hanukkah menorah, lit during the eight day Hanukah holiday, on the other hand has nine branches. Among Jewish ceremonial articles the menorah is the one of the most widely recreated.

The menorah and the Star of David are the customary and ancestral symbols of Judaism. The Chanukkiyah, as the nine branched menorah is known, was created solely for use in conjunction with the Jewish Hanukkah holiday. All of the surrounding candles are lit by the center candle or Shamash. The miracle of single day's supply of lamp oil burning for eight days following the revolt of the Jewish people against the Seleucid monarchy is represented by the eight surrounding candles.
