Fishing floats come in a variety of shapes and sizes. These gorgeous glass globes are replicas of original fishing floats and are made with jute rope and hand blown glass. These lovely hand blown glass globes all differ in size and are assorted from smallest to largest. The light blue and red globes are about 2.5" in diameter, the orange and green globes are about 3.5" in diameter and finally the large dark blue globe is about 4.5" in diameter.
The Norwegians, back in the 1840s, were the first to make use of these types of handmade, glass fishing floats. The majority of the originals people find today are usually from the fishing industry in Japan.
