The beautiful brass balance beam of this scale is about 6" high; the velvet lined box is about 9.5" long and about 5" wide. Intended for decorative purposes only, this one of a kind scale should not be used for weight measurement. There are a few slightly defective latches on the box. By unscrewing the center of the lovely balance beam, you can easily disassemble it and store it in the box.
