Finished with a lovely antique look, this hourglass timer is displayed in a beautiful, brushed steel stand with a wooden base. The stand is approximately 11" high and 5" wide. The sand timer runs for about 30 minutes.
Historically, methods of measuring time at sea were very limited. Hourglasses are believed to have been employed for this purpose as early as the 11th century.
