18" Fahrenheit Galileo Thermometer - Multicolored Floats

Galileo, a key player in the Scientific revolution, originally created the Galileo Thermometer. This clear glass cylinder is about 18" tall. It contains 10 different colored spheres. Each sphere is a different weight, indicating a different temperature. The cylinder is filled with a special, clear liquid. The spheres rise and fall, based on the temperature of the liquid. The lowest floating sphere in the top portion of the cylinder indicates the current temperature. The 10 spheres indicate temperatures between 66 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit, in 2 degree intervals.
