This fully functioning oval porthole window is made with heavy brass. The porthole is approximately 12" long and 9" wide. The glass window is approximately 9" long with a 6" width.
Portholes run along the hull of ships, allowing for fresh air and sunlight to enter the otherwise dark below-deck quarters.
